Who We Are

This One’s Personal

Most companies in this industry will tell you about their processes. Their network. Their lead times.

We’ll tell you those things too — because they’re true, and they matter. But they’re not what this page is about.

This page is about the people behind it.

OUR STORY

Coastal Steel Structures was built by people who became family before they became business partners.

Fathers. Best friends. Men who found each other through a shared obsession with an industry most people never think twice about and decided that if they were going to spend their careers in it, they were going to do it right.

Not right by industry standards. Right by their own.

That distinction is the whole company. It’s why clients don’t get handed off. Why phones get answered. Why a problem on a job site at 6am on a Friday is still our problem. The people running this company aren’t managing a portfolio of projects from a distance. They’re in it — genuinely, personally in it — because the work reflects who they are.

That’s not something you can train into an organization. It either comes from the top or it doesn’t come at all.

At Coastal Steel Structures, it comes from the top.

Leadership

The People Running This Company

President

Michael Cejas

Michael sees around corners. While others are solving today's problem, he's already working on the one after it — quietly positioning the company for where the industry is going before most people know it's moving.

Michael sees around corners. While the rest of the room is solving today's problem, he's already working on the one after it — asking the harder question, pressure-testing the assumption everyone else accepted, quietly repositioning the company for where the industry is going before most people know it's moving. He doesn't lead loudly. He leads clearly.

And in a business where ambiguity costs money and indecision costs projects, that kind of vision is the difference between a company that reacts and one that's always ready.

Chris Glykas Co Owner
VP of Sales

Chris Glykas

Chris doesn't sell buildings — he builds trust, and then the building follows. He's the reason Coastal's equestrian division runs almost entirely on referrals, and why people who call once keep calling.

Chris loves this industry. Not as a talking point — genuinely, visibly, in the way he lights up when a project comes together and takes it personally when one doesn't. He's the reason Coastal's equestrian division runs almost entirely on referrals.

He doesn't sell buildings. He builds trust — and then the building follows. That kind of passion isn't something you manufacture. You either have it or you don't. Chris has always had it.

Jake Lang Co-Owner VP of Operations
VP of Operations

Jake Lang

Kind, experienced, and funny in the way that makes a hard conversation easier. When Jake is on your project, things get figured out — quietly, completely, and without any drama.

Kind. Experienced. Funny in the way that makes a hard conversation easier. Jake is the kind of operational leader clients don't always know they need until they've worked with him once — and then they won't work without him.

He's spent years inside the complexity of real projects: the budget that needed rethinking, the timeline that needed saving, the spec that needed someone willing to dig in and actually solve it. He does all of it without drama, without ego, and without making the client feel the weight of what just got handled on their behalf.

Things get figured out when Jake is involved. That's just how it goes.

OUR STORY

This kind of company doesn’t happen by accident.

A visionary who sees where things are going. A leader who makes people believe in the work they’re doing. An operator who makes sure nothing falls through. When those three things exist in the same organization — and those people genuinely respect each other — it creates something that’s hard to name and impossible to fake.

The people who work at Coastal feel it. They show up differently here. They care more, solve harder problems, and stay longer than people do at companies where the culture is a slide in a deck rather than something you feel on your first day. That’s not a recruiting line. It’s just what happens when leadership is real.

The buildings are just proof of all of it. We treat every structure like an autograph. We don’t put our name on something we’re not proud of.
