The Texas Alcoholism Foundation has operated The Texas House men’s residential drug and alcohol recovery center since 1965. As an important part of the program the clients find meaningful employment as they begin to enjoy a sober lifestyle. In the early part of the Texas House year-long program they participate in the Texas Works Wonders program where government contracts are set-aside for persons with disabilities. Certainly alcoholism qualifies as a disability. The Texas House provides transportation, equipment and tools for this work but has been stretched to find space on campus for the needed resources. Coastal Steel Structures has generously helped to locate an economical maintenance and storage building to be built on an adjacent property. This exciting expansion project will be an attractive addition to the campus and will offer practical support to the men as they begin to put their lives back together. It has become clear throughout the time leading up to ground-breaking that Coastal’s knowledgeable staff sees our project as more than just another sale. I had always dreamed of having a covered arena in Florida. The heat and direct sunlight made for some intense training sessions and of course the rainy days prevented us from training consistently. After last year’s incredibly wet winter, it became obvious a covered arena was a necessity especially when training and competing at an international level. Fully expecting the cost to be completely prohibitive, I was honestly surprised when I received the quote from Coastal Steel. I checked out some of the buildings they had done in the area and I was impressed. I decided to hire them and I am so glad I did! They were affordable, on time and their staff was incredibly mindful of the horses training as the building went up. Chris, Recently we purchased a steel building from you that is being used as an indoor riding arena. Our  previous arena was destroyed by a bad winter storm. I thought I would take a moment to let you know how much we appreciate all the effort and support we got from your company during the purchase and building of our new steel building. The building was received in perfect condition and every part needed to erect it was marked and packed so there was no searching and there were no shortage of all necessary parts, including such small but significant items as bolts, nuts and screws.
