Coastal Steel Structures Partners with Wellington International on the Largest Equestrian Facility of Its Kind in South Florida

Wellington, FL — September 9, 2025

Coastal Steel Structures is partnering with Wellington International and Wellington Lifestyle Partners to build a landmark covered riding arena in Wellington, Florida.

The 86,000 square foot facility will rise on Wellington International’s 111-acre property. At that scale, it will be the largest covered equestrian arena ever built for either organization, and the largest of its kind in South Florida.

Wellington International is one of the most prestigious equestrian venues in the world. The new covered arena adds a space where riders and horses can train and compete at the highest level year-round, regardless of weather. It also offers spectators an experience that matches the standard Wellington International has set across every discipline it hosts.

"This new covered arena will allow riders and horses to train and compete at the highest level year-round, while offering spectators an unmatched experience. We are especially proud to be building this structure with Coastal Steel Structures, not only as our construction partner but also as a valued sponsor of Wellington International and the Global Dressage Festival. This arena is an investment in the future of our sport, our venue, and the generations of champions yet to come."

Murray S. KesslerCEO of Wellington International

For Coastal Steel Structures, the project is more than a build. It is a contribution to an event and a community the company has been rooted in for years.

“This project is more than steel and structure. It is fulfilling a vision we have long held,” said Chris Glykas, VP of Sales at Coastal Steel Structures. “To partner with an organization as distinguished as Wellington International is a privilege, and to build an arena of this scale for a community we deeply love is truly inspiring.”

“We are proud to create a space that will elevate the experience for riders, horses, and spectators at the sport’s highest level.”

The design brings scale together with the details that matter on a covered riding arena of this caliber. The structure is engineered to create an environment where light, air, and openness shape every moment inside it — whether that moment is a training session at six in the morning or a competition run in front of a full house.

The project reflects the standard Coastal Steel Structures has held across two decades of pre-engineered metal building work. Durability, design flexibility, and engineering that stands up to what the sport actually demands of a facility at this level.

Proven Coast to Coast

Built on Trust. Proven by Repeat Business.

Our business wasn’t built on first impressions — it was built on repeat business. The contractors, architects, and erectors who choose us once tend to keep choosing us, and refer the ones who come after them.

That’s how a company rooted in South Florida ended up building in nearly every region of the country. Clear communication, honest guidance, and real accountability don’t just deliver a great steel building. They build the kind of trust that travels.
