305 Farms
Lawrence, MI
The 305 Farms facility in Lawrence, Michigan transformed a long vacant 40 acre site into a fully operational cannabis cultivation and marijuana production facility. For a small, close knit village, the finished project represents real progress. What was once unused land is now a working operation and one of the largest agricultural steel buildings in the region.
The facility now supports up to 200 local jobs, offering steady work, benefits, and opportunity for residents who previously had to look outside the community. It also provides reliable revenue for the village through licensing and operational fees. As a large scale agricultural metal building, the structure was designed for efficiency, durability, and long term use.
Lawrence had seen other development plans stall over the years. This project was completed and is now fully operational, delivering lasting value and a productive use of land that had sat empty for far too long.

Challenges
Building a facility of this size in a small rural town required careful planning and coordination. Lawrence has limited infrastructure and a close knit community that pays attention to change. The project needed to move forward without overwhelming local systems or disrupting daily life.
The scale and complexity of the building added another layer of challenge. Large agricultural metal buildings require precise scheduling, coordination with utilities, and early problem solving to stay on track. There was also skepticism rooted in past projects that never made it to completion.
Coastal Steel Structures was involved early to help manage these challenges. The team worked alongside project partners, local officials, and trades to ensure the steel structure could be delivered efficiently while respecting the community and keeping the project moving forward.
Solutions
Coastal Steel Structures played a hands on role from planning through completion. By coordinating steel fabrication, delivery, and erection, Coastal helped maintain momentum on a large scale agricultural steel building designed for long term operation.
Experience with steel agricultural buildings allowed Coastal to anticipate challenges and address them before they caused delays. Clear communication and consistent project management kept schedules aligned and construction moving smoothly.
The completed facility reflects a practical, accountable approach. Vacant land was put to use without displacement, jobs were created, and reliable revenue was established for the village. Through partnership and follow through, Coastal Steel Structures helped deliver a project that now supports both the local community and Michigan’s regulated cannabis industry.

Chris, We wanted to take a moment and thank you for your continued support and good products in the horse industry. BRS entered into this Market in 2014 and since then we have built 4 structures with you including 3 indoor arenas and a large Commercial Garage. Your product is of top quality and your support with the engineered drawings is outstanding. You take your time when you are with us and do not rush us out the door. Also, when there were any field discrepancies you jumped at the opportunity to make it right. For that, we thank you and hope to do business with you well into the future. Have a great night.

Proven Coast to Coast
Built on Trust. Proven by Repeat Business.
Our business wasn’t built on first impressions — it was built on repeat business. The contractors, architects, and erectors who choose us once tend to keep choosing us, and refer the ones who come after them.
That’s how a company rooted in South Florida ended up building in nearly every region of the country. Clear communication, honest guidance, and real accountability don’t just deliver a great steel building. They build the kind of trust that travels.
