40x140x16 Metal Zoo and Animal Rescue Building
Clinton, TN
The Little Ponderosa Zoo and Rescue is a nonprofit sanctuary in Clinton, Tennessee, home to a wide range of animals that needed somewhere to land. Its mission is simple: give exotic animals a permanent home and open the doors so the community can learn from them. Conservation and education sit at the center of the work, along with respect for every animal in their care.
On December 4, 2017, a fire tore through the property. Little Ponderosa lost animals, its main facility, and much of what the team had spent years building.
Roughly eight months later, the organization marked its return at a grand reopening and fall festival. At the center of it was a new facility built to carry the mission forward.
Coastal Steel Structures delivered that building: a 5,600 square foot, 40x140x16 I-Beam structure engineered for the Clinton site and built to support the sanctuary’s daily operations. Steel gave Little Ponderosa a durable, low-maintenance home to rebuild around.

Our family has been in the Equine Industry for 30 years. We have dealt with countless contractors and suppliers. After many, many years of wishing and hoping, we were able to complete our dream of erecting a Covered Arena. Coastal Steel Structures made this possible with their more than fair pricing for our building. Every one we came in contact with were friendly, courteous and helpful. The building was delivered correctly and timely. We would highly recommend them for any steel buildings you may need.

Proven Coast to Coast
Built on Trust. Proven by Repeat Business.
Our business wasn’t built on first impressions — it was built on repeat business. The contractors, architects, and erectors who choose us once tend to keep choosing us, and refer the ones who come after them.
That’s how a company rooted in South Florida ended up building in nearly every region of the country. Clear communication, honest guidance, and real accountability don’t just deliver a great steel building. They build the kind of trust that travels.
