A Covered Riding Arena That Started With a Congratulations
Chris Glykas, VP of Sales at Coastal Steel Structures, follows the equestrian circuit closely. He tracks results through the Winter Equestrian Festival season and knows who is riding well, and when someone has a good week he tells them so. One of those notes went to a jumper who trains and boards out of a farm in Wellington.
The rider, Jad Lana passed the introduction along, and Chris was invited out to walk the property. The owners had priced a covered arena before and set it aside when the numbers came back. Chris spent the visit on the operation. How the horses move through the property, and what the farm gives up if the arena is not standing when the season starts.
Nothing about the sport had to be explained to him. Manufacturer pricing had also come down since the owners last looked. Two weeks from first contact to a signed contract.

A Tight Site That Would Not Drain
Challenges
The lot was tight and the ground held water. There was barely room to stage steel on a property that stays in use every day, and the pad had to be dry before anyone could pour.
Construction ran through a Florida summer. It rained almost daily, and concrete turned into the one part of this job that fought us for weeks.
24 Pumps and a Schedule That Held
Solutions
The foundation crew set 24 pumps and ran them to pull water off the pad between storms. Concrete went in on schedule.
Erection moved quickly once the footers was ready, and the manufacturer ran deliveries at night to protect the sequence. When they came up short on material near the end, a member of our crew loaded the missing steel into his F-150 and drove it down from Georgia himself. The building was finished on the date we gave them.

BRS Partners, Poolsville, MD
Chris, We wanted to take a moment and thank you for your continued support and good products in the horse industry. BRS entered into this Market in 2014 and since then we have built 4 structures with you including 3 indoor arenas and a large Commercial Garage. Your product is of top quality and your support with the engineered drawings is outstanding. You take your time when you are with us and do not rush us out the door. Also, when there were any field discrepancies you jumped at the opportunity to make it right. For that, we thank you and hope to do business with you well into the future. Have a great night.

Proven Coast to Coast
Built on Trust. Proven by Repeat Business.
Our business wasn’t built on first impressions — it was built on repeat business. The contractors, architects, and erectors who choose us once tend to keep choosing us, and refer the ones who come after them.
That’s how a company rooted in South Florida ended up building in nearly every region of the country. Clear communication, honest guidance, and real accountability don’t just deliver a great steel building. They build the kind of trust that travels.
