GRANBURY CHURCH OF CHRIST
Grandbury, TX
Granbury Church of Christ needed more than additional square footage. They needed a building that could support how their congregation gathers, worships, learns, and connects, and one that felt intentional and inviting from the start, not just functional.
The new 33,950 square foot I-Beam building in Granbury, Texas was designed around exactly that. Open interior spaces give the church flexibility to host worship services, classrooms, meetings, and community events without the layout limiting any of them.
The facility integrates into the existing campus so it feels like part of it from day one, with room built in for the ministry to grow.

Challenges
Building a metal church building this congregation could truly gather in came with real complexity. The interior had to feel open, which meant engineering clear span frames wide enough to eliminate the interior columns that break sightlines and interrupt movement through the space.
The design also called for an open steeple, adding structural challenges that required careful coordination. Connecting the new building to an existing structure introduced its own considerations, particularly around mechanical systems and exterior finishes handled by other contractors. With multiple architects, engineers, and specialty trades involved, keeping every party aligned was what kept the project moving and the schedule intact.
Budget was top of mind throughout. The project was funded by the congregation, which meant every decision had to be accountable to the people behind it. On-site conditions required quick calls and a steady, hands-on presence, so problems got resolved without losing momentum or compromising the vision the church had approved.
Solutions
The I-Beam building system delivered the strength and flexibility the design called for, without pushing the budget past what the congregation had committed to. Custom engineering resolved the clear span requirements, the steeple design, and the building connections before they became field problems.
Hands-on project management mattered just as much. Clear communication across every team kept the project moving. Field challenges were addressed quickly and worked through together as they came up. It came down to careful value engineering, close coordination, and a team committed to what the congregation set out to build.
The project finished on schedule, on budget, and as a space the community recognized as their own from day one.

Chris, We wanted to take a moment and thank you for your continued support and good products in the horse industry. BRS entered into this Market in 2014 and since then we have built 4 structures with you including 3 indoor arenas and a large Commercial Garage. Your product is of top quality and your support with the engineered drawings is outstanding. You take your time when you are with us and do not rush us out the door. Also, when there were any field discrepancies you jumped at the opportunity to make it right. For that, we thank you and hope to do business with you well into the future. Have a great night.

Our family has been in the Equine Industry for 30 years. We have dealt with countless contractors and suppliers. After many, many years of wishing and hoping, we were able to complete our dream of erecting a Covered Arena. Coastal Steel Structures made this possible with their more than fair pricing for our building. Every one we came in contact with were friendly, courteous and helpful. The building was delivered correctly and timely. We would highly recommend them for any steel buildings you may need.

Proven Coast to Coast
Built on Trust. Proven by Repeat Business.
Our business wasn’t built on first impressions — it was built on repeat business. The contractors, architects, and erectors who choose us once tend to keep choosing us, and refer the ones who come after them.
That’s how a company rooted in South Florida ended up building in nearly every region of the country. Clear communication, honest guidance, and real accountability don’t just deliver a great steel building. They build the kind of trust that travels.
