Gulfshore Playhouse Production Ctr.
Naples, FL
The Gulfshore Playhouse Production Center in Naples, Florida was built to support the work that happens long before a show opens. This 21,450 square foot facility gives set builders, costume teams, and prop crews the space they need to do their jobs without working around limitations. Designed as one of many functional steel industrial buildings, it provides the room required to handle large scenery, materials, and active shop work.
Before this project, much of that work happened in tighter spaces or off site. The new Production Center brings everything together under one roof. Like many well planned metal industrial buildings, it prioritizes function over flash. The space gives the team more control over schedules, smoother coordination between departments, and a building designed around how the work actually happens.

Challenges
This was not a building that needed to look impressive. It needed to work. Large sets had to be built, moved, and stored without fighting columns or low clearances. As with most prefab industrial buildings, the challenge was delivering open space, durability, and efficiency while staying on budget and keeping the project moving on schedule.
The building also had to support different types of work happening at the same time. Scenic crews, costume teams, and prop builders all have different workflows and space needs. Similar to other steel I beam, the layout had to stay flexible without feeling disjointed. All of it had to meet local codes and safety requirements without slowing down production.
Solutions
An I Beam building system provided the open space and strength the project required. The clear span design removed interior columns, making it easier to build full size sets and move materials safely. The 21 foot height gave the team the vertical clearance they needed without adding unnecessary cost or complexity.
The interior layout was kept simple and flexible. Each department has room to work, with clear paths for moving scenery and equipment. Durable materials were used throughout to handle everyday wear. The result is a building that stays out of the way and lets people do their jobs. It supports the work, the team, and the productions that depend on it.

Chris, We wanted to take a moment and thank you for your continued support and good products in the horse industry. BRS entered into this Market in 2014 and since then we have built 4 structures with you including 3 indoor arenas and a large Commercial Garage. Your product is of top quality and your support with the engineered drawings is outstanding. You take your time when you are with us and do not rush us out the door. Also, when there were any field discrepancies you jumped at the opportunity to make it right. For that, we thank you and hope to do business with you well into the future. Have a great night.

Our family has been in the Equine Industry for 30 years. We have dealt with countless contractors and suppliers. After many, many years of wishing and hoping, we were able to complete our dream of erecting a Covered Arena. Coastal Steel Structures made this possible with their more than fair pricing for our building. Every one we came in contact with were friendly, courteous and helpful. The building was delivered correctly and timely. We would highly recommend them for any steel buildings you may need.

Proven Coast to Coast
Built on Trust. Proven by Repeat Business.
Our business wasn’t built on first impressions — it was built on repeat business. The contractors, architects, and erectors who choose us once tend to keep choosing us, and refer the ones who come after them.
That’s how a company rooted in South Florida ended up building in nearly every region of the country. Clear communication, honest guidance, and real accountability don’t just deliver a great steel building. They build the kind of trust that travels.
